My mother-in-law loves laminated pastries, so I decided to spoil her a little bit by making a few different ones while she was here. Of course, I am also spoiling my husband and myself because we now have an abundance of riches in the freezer. Not sure whether the lamination bug will continue or whether I am all laminated out.

And finally the danishes, https://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/26777/cheese-danish-sourdough-all-american-beauty and https://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/27707/two-kinds-danish-rolls-sweet-savory

I may have used excess filling in the swirls, preventing them from holding together well, but no one complained.

Txfarmer’s recipes are always wonderful and I wish I had the opportunity to thank her.

I think this was my third time making it.

Wow that is a lot of incredible baking you’ve done recently.  I want to be your next door neighbour please!  I’m honored to be included with your TxFarmer baking and I’m glad you like that cinnamon bread, you’ve baked it more than I have.

Benny

So many delicious looking bakes there. It must have taken quite a bit of time to prepare them all!

I really like the look of the swirl on the marble loaf and the Pain aux raisins look great too!

Well done!

Michael

I really like my mother in law.

The chocolate marble loaf is a fun project that isn’t as time-consuming as it seems. As Txfarmer says, it really is easier than croissants. The chocolate square handles nicely and you don’t need to roll the dough very thinly. It’s also fun to see the layers in the dough when you cut it for braiding because they’re more visible than they would be with butter.

A bit mind blowing, all that effort, well done indeed. Most impressed by how well your chocolate laminated loaf came out, and you've also got me thinking of making Benny's loaf now.

The chocolate marble loaf and Benny’s loaf are a lot of fun to make, and good ways to impress guests/recipients. You should definitely try them!

Incredible bakes, all of them. Beautiful work. Such a whirlwind of baking must have required some detailed planning. You'll have to change your screen name to bakingprof now 😀

I admit I didn’t make them all at once. And now I’m a little worn out!
