A bit of an improvisation on a basic recipe from Hamelman - his seeded sourdough, but I omitted sunflower seeds, increased the sesame, the flax seeds, and added commercial yeast to speed things up a little....
Buck is our rescue dog, was terribly abused in the past... Anyway, he won't make a noise, won't bark, won't try to grab the food from the table, just sits there, paralyzed, staring... Of course, he does get a little treat.... but the vet made us promise to put him on a more strict diet when Spring comes... he needs to lose a little weight. Sourdough and cheese will have to be kept to a minimum level....
Buck sounds like a great dog that is so lucky to have your loving home.
We have 5 cats, 4 of them rescues and 1 adopted Cleo, after her mother passed away.
I try not to give my cats any human food either, but if I'm eating cereal Cosmo has a homing device installed and mysteriously shows up to help by sticking his paw into my milk! He also insisted on trying my Ale sweetpotato bread and actually gave it 2 paws up :).
Buck has me mesmerized too! What a fine rescue dog. See Lucy ....that is what an apprentice is supposed to do -No barking, no stealing food off the table,no baking .....:-) Love your bread as usual. Very well done.
That is one great looking bread! I like the crumb and the seeds throughout. Bet it tastes really good toasted with a bit o'butter on it. Great job!

THanks, Linda! "someone" really liked the bread....
Love the look on the pup's face - 'A little something for a starving puppy, perhaps?'
Linda
Come on give Buck a piece of cheese and bread!
By the way beautiful looking bread.
