You may have to experiment but I would sub a cup of active starter for yeast and leave on the counter for a couple of hours to give it a start. Remember sd will be a little slower developing then the 1 or 2 tablespoons of yeast. Shoud work. Play with it and have fun. Keep notes. Patrick
