I joined TFL in 2007, where I learned to make my own sourdough starter, and made my very first loaves. The community here was amazing then (and still is!). I still pop in here quite a lot to research flavors and techniques, new ideas. I stopped and started sourdough multiple times over the years, but picked it back up in the summer of 2023 and have been all in ever since. I started selling my first bread in February of 2024. I’ve learned so much along the way, and continue stretching and learning as I go, week by week. I’ve had a RackMaster RM2020 for about six months now, and it has given me so much time back (I had gotten to where I was baking for 8 hours in Dutch ovens in my double wall oven). If anyone has questions about this oven, let me know! I’ve finally dialed in my process.
Just sharing a few photos for posterity, and for anyone who’s into bread pics. <3

Wow, KJ, what incredibly good looking loaves!

Thanks so much! I’ve learned so much this year! Sourdough is such an enigma sometimes, it keeps us on our toes. ;)
Those loaves look beautiful! Wish your bakery luck for another years to come :)

Thank you, Jay!
Lovely breads, all.
Thanks so much!
They look lovely! I can imagine they sell also very fast ;)
I operate on preorders, and actually I wish I sold more bread! In my area, I feel like people are less into artisan breads, and more into cookies (that’s certainly what my sales bear out, haha). But I bake once a week and sell between 20-30 loaves, plus a ton of cookies and some brownies and scones. It’s all good, it’s my post-homeschool mom job and more than I ever imagined I could do. I love making the bread the most, though!
Love the amazing burst !
Congratulations on your success 👏👏
