Day 6 Starter

Hi!

 

I’ve been following The Bread Lab’s recipe of 1-2 tbsp flour and water twice a day and it’s Day 6 and my starter is calm with a few little bubbles on the surface.  It smells sour though.

 

I’m in NYC and it’s pretty chilly out but I’ve found a warm spot in my kitchen to host my friend here and she was looking pretty frothy and active two days ago. I keep going yes?
