Pull apart bacon/cheese/ranch mix bread

I borrowed the recipe from http://www.yummly.com/recipe/Pull-Apart-Bacon-Bread-Recipe-Taste-of-Home-45204?columns=4&position=4%2F11  to try with some left-over dough.

I added some French's fried onion pieces as well.  It was an absolute treat and gone in a flash with a mere pat of butter, or just a thick slice of tomato. This recipe will become a favorite for unexpected company and will use frozen dough for just this purpose.

Happy Thanksgiving to all !

Anna

With cheese and that much bacon how could it not taste great!

Thanks for sharing and a Happy Turkey Day to you as well.

Ian

the bacon and cheese bread king but I like them too.  12 oz of bacon some salad dressing and not near enough cheese if you ask me at only 4 oz, make this one tasty bread - no guessing needed.

Happy Thanksgiving and be Merry in Maryland

You can pretty much use any basic bread dough.  I like a dough which, the night before, I prepare a preferment of 125 grams sourdough starter, 75 grams AP flour and 75 grams warm water. I stir, and let sit overnight on the counter.

In the morning, I add 560 grams bread flour, 380 gr water, 10 gr salt and 2 tablespoons of peanut oil. Mix well, let sit 30 minutes, knead 10 minutes, put in oiled bowl, S&F every 20 minutes  until dough has doubled. Then either put in proof basket or freeze.

I have no experience with store-bought frozen dough.

Happy baking!

Thanks. Mostly just kidding though. Just playing with the irony of a frozen bread dough recipe on a site for making one's own dough.
