LG LSEL6335 Oven

Toast

I had an old GE oven. Replaced it with a new LG with all the bells and whistles. Anyhow I just found out it has no bottom bake element. Did not know it was a thing until now. Should I return it? I mostly bake bread and cakes. Bread on two granite slabs and cakes in aluminum fat daddios pans. I know one thing that makes a cake rise is heat from the bottom. Not sure how things will work now that there is no heat from the bottom?

I have a few months to try it out...

Try it and see what happens. You might want to put the slabs on the top of the oven - more info needed would be helpful. Enjoy!

Apparently, the heat source doesn't matter in a convection oven; however, if you can bake without the fan, an upper element only might not be ideal. I wonder if you're expected to bake/roast everything with the fan on. I've heard some posters say their conevection fan doesn't have a separate on/off switch.

I had a convection oven yonks ago--probably 40 yrs--and did not like it for cakes.
