Spelt berries with 5-10% of the hulls remaining

I know of a local Amish farmer who grows spelt and he is willing to sell berries directly to me. But when he dehulls the spelt berries about 5-10% still have the hulls intact. He has a high powered mill that can grind those up fine so it isn't a problem for him. But I don't know if I will be able to use these berries. I have a Bosch universal with a grain mill. Do you know if that amount of unhulled berries will be a problem?

I wonder if sending them through the mill on a coarse setting would "free" the hulls so that they could be blown away. The ancient procedure as I understand it was to beat the grain on the floor then toss it into the air for the hulls to float away. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Threshing_floor

I'd try a little and see what happens. I can't see how it would hurt your mill. 

But I'm just a computer guy with no experience in the subject so why would you believe me?

I watched a video where the guy said he just poured the grain from one bucket to another and let the husk float away.

I think he wanted to process his grain without cracking it because he wanted to keep the grain. It seems to me that if you did it as you used the grain you wouldn't care if it cracked.
