bean flour, buy or DIY?

Toast

Where can I buy bean flour for low cost? Should I grind the beans myself? what about Dehydrated beans?

I made some bean patties using black refried beans and oatmeal, and looking for ways to make them w/o getting messy.

Try azure. They have a lot of beans if you can grind them. The only flour I saw was garbanzo flour.

There is free shipping if there is a contact person in your area.

Hi,

I was not sure about what you were going to make. If patties then, yes, if you cook the beans, a food processor will chop them coarsely. For a puree, I found that I have to add liquid to the cooked beans.

If you need dry bean flour, then  you must grind the dry beans. A Vitamixer grain blade is powerful enough to do that. I am not sure if the regular blade is good for that.

I must try your patties!

My order just went in at azure for grain and I think I will add some beans to it too.

I made them a bit different today as in flour not oatmeal. And added some apple cider vinegar along with more seasoning. Tastes all right, no really that spicy at all. Maybe another jalapeno?
