Good option for beginners and intermediate bakers

Super Sourdough by James Morton

Super Sourdough : The Foolproof Guide to Making World-Class Bread at Home: James Morton: 9781787134652: hive.co.uk

I have recently bought this book, I think it's great for the beginner or intermediate sourdough baker.

James Morton was a Bake Off (UK) finalist but he is also a doctor so he has a scientific and no nonsense approach to baking that I like. He explains everything step by step, and goes into a lot of details about each but also giving the option to just skip to the essential bits, if one doesn't want to know about different bacteria and dough science.

I haven't yet tried the recipes, but I can already say that this is the bread book I was looking for: only covering sourdough, full of clear information,  troubleshooting common issues, and achievable recipes with easy to find flours. I look forward to attempting his basic bread recipe this week.

Has anyone else here got this book?

I read the free Kindle sample last night. It does look interesting, so I went ahead and ordered the paper version.

Thanks for the tip!

I had been looking for this kind of book ever since I started sourdough baking (January this year) - online information is really overwhelming and there is so much conflicting advice...I feel that this book was exactly what I needed.
