I bought one of the 20 cm sieves from China. I had hoped that it would fit my standard 8 inch test sieves, which fit 8 inch sauce pans and lids. It does not. Depth to screen is only about 1.625 inches.
I usually do not sift flour, so please bear with me if I don't understand what you are doing.
Why would you put a sieve in another sieve and then put these two sieves in a saucepan? I guess using a lid would prevent the flour dust from flying around when you sift, but sieve in a sieve...
