Yes, more information is needed. However, I have found that tasteless bread sometimes attributes to not using enough or the right kind of salt in your dough.
I don't have the book any longer and it been about 10+ years. I guess the book is out of print.Does anyone have any good recipes they can post here. Ones that are surefire and really good.
Because everyone has different taste we can't tell you what will be 'really good' for you!
This forum is a friendly and helpful place but you have to give info to get info. Do you like Rye? Sourdough? Challah? Whole wheat raisin toast? Describe the specific style of bread you want to make and someone will probably be able to help you find a good recipe.
If you want help with this problem, you're going to have to provide waaaaaay more information.
What recipe are you following that you're unsatisfied with?

I was talking about the ones from "The five Minute Baker". Would something from King A. or someplace be better?
Would you post a recipe, please, or a link to a recipe, so that the rest of us can see what you are talking about?

Flour, water, salt and yeast are the only ingredients needed for flavorful bread.
Flour needs to be well-kept, meaning generally closed, generally sealed. Very old flour is problematic.
Not including salt in the recipe is problematic, leading to unappealing flavor in my view.
If you are experiencing unappealing flavor, most likely the salt was too little or too much, or the flour was poorly kept.
