Hi everybody

I'm a semi-experienced baker, having enjoyed baking for years, but gradually picking up more advanced techniques in the past 5 years.

My wife and I bake danish style rye breads every week, and it's the go-to bread for our kids in their lunch box, and what we bring to work.

Recently I got my hands on some proper sourdough starter and have had a blast with baking in cast iron pots, using only the sourdough as leaven.

I would like to explore further into the world of sourdough, hence why I'm signing up here.

Oh, we also bake a ton of shortcrust and other sweets, although it is not as interesting as sourdough right now.

Welcome to TFL neighbor!  Another NC resident here in Stedman (east of Fayetteville) about 90 minutes south of you.
