Chrystal recipe

Has anyone made the chrystal recipe that is out there.

 

I tried and the bread was a little flat.

 

I found 120% hydration very hard to work with.

 

Also it required a fair bit of olive oil.  I thought that would make toe bread to tender?

Which "crystal bread recipe" are you referring to? Link? Recipe? Are you talking about pan de cristal? That is a very open crumbed bread-more crust than crumb from ?Spain? , I believe. Search for "Pan de cristal" here on TFL.
