The Bread Bible on Kindle for $2.99

Toast

Right now (January 19) Amazon.com is selling the Kindle version of Rose Levy Beranbaum's The Bread Bible for $2.99. If you've meant to add this title to your collection and don't mind that it's for the Kindle, now's a good time to snap it up.

And it’s even more at google books. Maybe because I am in Canada?

I didn't mean to raise your hopes only to dash them! I learned of this offer through bookbub.com, which sends a daily email with a summary of e-book bargains from Amazon and Apple Books. Maybe you have to subscribe to their service (it's free) in order to benefit from it?

My one experience in buying a Kindle-ized cookbook (by RLB, it turns out) was disappointing. Formatting is wonky, tables are misplaced and, importantly, it’s inconvenient to make notes.

YMMV

I haven't tried cookbooks on Kindle, but in cookbooks (as well as some other types), formatting is information, not just decoration. I'd prefer to spend the money for a paper cookbook, and cheap out on a novel, where formatting is much less important.
