There has been no growth in my starters since their first full size feed of 50g yesterday. They did have a smaller 25g feed the day before and lots of bubbles... yesterday I had to remove half of starter and feed 50g flour water to 50g starter and mark the jars but nothing very few bubbles and no growth...should I feed and remove half anyway or not feed to day.....Please help I have to feed in an hour....
But I'd say, for now at least, leave them alone until you start to see something happening again. Just give them a stir. Don't worry, this quiet bit is normal!!
I know Abe (Lechem) gave you some tips in your other thread, so if he gets round to responding here, do what he says (he knows more about this than me!!). LOL!!
Good luck

I did stir them about an hour before feed was due and saw Bready Krueger showed signs of life so fed them the recommended instructions. What I removed was thinner but hopefully I havent done any damage. I will watch them today.:-/ this is just before the feed...

From here on in you feed according to the rhythm of the starter.
If nothing then skip a feed.
If there is some life in them then give them a little feed like day 3
Showing more signs of life? Then as you have done today.
Too thin? Then a feed can be just flour and thickening them up. Or flour and less water.
Keep that temperature close to 78F if possible and you'll see them picking up quicker.
I'd have fed the one which had some signs of life with a small feed and thickened it up. Would have left the other one alone.
This is all very normal! So don't worry.
What do they smell like?
Was a bit stressed...you did mention them slowing but didn’t know if I should feed or not feed...ended up feeding after a frantic search on the net. Anyway I like your approach of feed less or just flour if thin. Have sent them to my microwave with a glass of hot water in there has raised the temp to 74f. There is some growth 7 hours later and bubbles but not a lot. Anyway they are still living and the smell is slightly vinegary but not yuck....thanks Abe feeling less stressed now..
