My cultural project "Sourdough Bread Storytelling - The Romanian Traditional Village" continues.
Today - with a sunrise over the haystacks & the wooden fence and with "the morning sun" ended with "the wolf tooth".
I saw this exact symbol of "the morning sun" on a wooden gate carved by one of the most well known Romanian carvers - Mr. Neculae Purcarea, who unfortunately doesn't live anymore... I feel gratitude that I had the chance to interview him for my magazine, SATUL / The Village, few years ago. (You can see this element carved if you go to this link: http://www.revista-satul.ro/interviu-cu-sculptorul-neculae…/).
The curved arms of "the morning sun" symbolizes the rotational movement of the Universe.
P.S.: I made these two sourdough breads with chopped nettles and caraway seeds + one more significant ingredient: the culture of my people. I love this project! :)
Keep posting. I love to see your designs. As well, post your recipes!
Almost a shame to bite through that perfect crumb.
Almost.
These are beautiful and inspiring!
Beautiful !!
