I had a full load of 8 cast iron pots in the oven this morning. I had four of my Heart Bread loaves to bake for a customer, and I've been waiting for an opportunity to bake some of Ian's cream cheese breads, and I also added a couple of Tartine Porridge loaves to top up the load - this one made with Kamut flake porridge, walnuts and walnut oil (bought some the other day). They all turned out very pretty, and the Kamut Durum Potato Cream Cheese sourdough is soooo yummy! Good baking morning... :)

I don’t know how you keep all the recipes straight when making them all at the same time. I have enough trouble with 4 batches of the same thing!
Would love to see the crumb shot if available...What a super baker you are! My head will spin if I make more than one type of bread at a time!
Yippee
Hi Yippee. I posted the crumb shot over on Ian's original post about the cream cheese bread. But here it is again. The other breads were for sale, so no crumb shots on those ones (though I would love to see the inside of the Kamut porridge and Walnut loaf myself!).
What a beauty!
Was your procedure and timing similar to Ian's? Please share if yours was different from his. Thanks.
Yippee
Although I did change up the water amount somewhat, given my use of potato flour instead of mashed potatoes. And I mixed it in the Ankarsrum so the mixing time might have been a bit different.
I love the potato cream cheese of Ian's ! It smells so wonderful. Will have to look at your others. I often make several different things at once. Yellow stickies are great !! I have had some experience with them blowing off though and then sometimes it can get confusing LOL ! In this tiny new to me kitchen , today will be the first time I have two different things going on at the same time. I hope it works out. Great bakes !! c
Lucy has a saying about Ian's breads. The weirdest ones always taste the best! Cream cheese a potato get me every time.... Well done and Happy baking LL
Hey...,I resent, I mean resemble that comment?
If anyone knows weird bread, it's Lucy. :D
It has to be a challenge juggling so many things a tasty once but you pull it off excellently.
So glad you tried the cream cheese bread and liked it.
Regards,
Ian
I agree with Danni and Yippee and Ian - amazing multi-tasking skills you have to be able to produce such a tasty variety of bread in one baking session! It's a challenge for me to bake two loaves of the same bread at the same time! A very nice bake Lazy Loafer, a delicious assortment of beautiful breads.
Actually, this one was easy. They were all the same shape and size, and all baked at the same time and temperature in the cast iron pots, all in one load. Every weekend, when I bake for the shop, I make at least six different kinds of dough and bake them all Saturday morning. Some are sourdough, some are enriched pan loaves. Some bake on the stones and some in pans (either traditional loaf pans or baking sheets or Italian bread pans). I have been known to mess up, but not often anymore. Like anything, it gets easier with practice (three years now). When I first started baking for a little local market stand and my own tiny shop, I was up at 5:00 AM and generally in a panic for about six hours. Now I get up at 7:00 and just motor along.
