The iconIc Aussie Meat Pie....the best I can do...not the same but will have to do....

Really sorry I haven't posted a recipe yet (jist too busy currently). Btw I always rated my pies as follows - crust - is it moist especially on the bottom as we all know despite the pie being a short crust we don't want a classic flakey crust and that's where lard comes in a s great shortening - second best option is margarine. - does the filling taste right and that means good mix of peppdr, salt, nutmeg, soy or Worcestershire - does the filling have good gravy consistency and content. This is achieved by adding flour or sometkmrs cornstarch. This looks really good amd makong me crave a pie right now !

... I've never had Aussie pie but that looks amazing! It's almost dinner time here and you're making me hungry. :) When we come to Aus next autumn I must remember to try Aussie pie.

And an Aussie Burger and while your there some scallops from the fish and chip shop, they are a slice of potato in a light crispy batter. I made you hungry now you made me homesick....lol
