Hello:
I'm looking into grain mills and came across this offer on Breadtopia. Size wise, this is correct for me. Does anyone else use a Mockmill?

Does anyone buy grains from Breadtopia? If so, what are your thoughts on the quality?
Thanks,
Hadster
I have a Mockmill 100 on pre-order from Breadtopia. It supposedly does a finer grind than the KoMo Classic that was also designed my Wolfgang Mock.
I have made many purchases of flour/grain from Breadtopia also. Very happy with their products but until I get the mill I will not know how the grain is. I have 45# of wheat/rye berries from him that I can't wait to mill!
I have the kitchenaid attachment mill from the Mockmill and it works great. I am thinking of upgrading to the stand-alone model as well and I've seen a few people on one of the bread Facebook groups I'm test it. Looks like it is well worth it.
I also buy some hard to find grains from Breadtopia and have been very satisfied with the quality. I'm in NY so the shipping can get expensive but if you buy enough it's still worth it compared to other sites.
I have the KA attachment, which is why I'm interested in the Mockmill 100.
Have you found a grain supplier that is 1) reliable and 2) closer than Breadtopia? Were have you looked?

I go to Whole Foods for rye and whole wheat usually. Other than that I have found a few places on Amazon that are not bad, but if I'm buying a bunch it ends up being cheaper to get it from Breadtopia. I also have found grains at Fairway Markets but not sure they have one in NYC. The one close to me closed as well.
Good luck.

and Whole Foods is also fairly close, as NYC standards go.
Thanks for the tips.

I hope to have it by the end of September. Right now, Breadtopia is offering a small discount on the mill for pre-orders. fyi.
I somehow got an early shipment of the mockmill 100 from Wolfgang Mock's mockmill online store: https://usa-shop.wolfgangmock.com/products/mockmill-100
I understand mills begin shipping next week from their US warehouse.
The mill is impressive in it's fine milling, easy adjustment. My wife loves how compact it is on the countertop. No more milling large batches of flour. We mill when we need it and it remains grain until then. We're enjoying the experience of fresh flour!
and a small amount of organic Einkorn whole grain. I can't wait!
I have some red wheat berries that I have to used up prior to using the Einkorn, but I consider that practice.
Breadtopia has a free shipping option if speed is not an issue.

They are supposed to ship from Chicago on 9/18!
Their order of Mockmills have been shipped. They are tracking their delivery. Yea!
I have been using a Nutrimill for several months but ordered the Mockmill because of the size & it looked easier to deal with than the Nutrimill (the top is hard to get off the bowl). I ground some soft white on the finest setting & it is gritty compared to the Nutrimill soft white. I ran it through the Mockmill again & it's still gritty compared to the Nutrimill flour. Not sure what to do.
They posted a video this morning to show how to get started with the Mockmill. There are 2 packing pieces inside which have to be removed & he shows how to make it grind finer - there are a couple of steps to get the stones closer together. I tried his steps & it worked - no more gritty flour.
I am thinking of komo medium versus mock mill 200. Any one used it and has reviews. Interested in knowing about fineness of flours
I now have the Mock Mill 200 and love it. It is much more affordable than the Komo and I highly recommend it.
You got the 200. I have the 100 but so far have only milled rye. Still trying to use up all the flour I have. I think I should be able to start milling more by end of Summer. Will look forward to more bakes from you. c
