Canele - just a tad well done

A for effort maybe ? These went in a 50 degrees too high but they're still pretty cute :\

I WANT dat! I need to find some canelle molds so I can make me some.

You can find the minis for $4 each which is about 10x cheaper than copper (although I want a copper just to compare). Baking note - the temp recommendation is 425f for 30 minutes then 380f for 25 - try starting a bit lower. Last week I baked some really good ones just as a power outage hit which explains kinda why today's were over done - will try again tomorrow and maybe post some results and temp details ...
They look like mini bundt pans I see in the store! Can you do this with any shaped pan or is it a specialty thing?

One of the appeals of this pastry is the caramelized crust which one by the mold has creases to expand the surface area - thisbisba great site showing results using different molds - https://www.chefsteps.com/activities/caneles--2 so yes any mold will work they're just better with the mini bundt shape.  There's also different sizes the smallest is about 6cm high (my fav)
