first steps on a new route

Hello everyone,

My name is Mei Emanuel, but most people call me either Mei or Manu. Please feel free to do so. I've been reading topics on this forum for a couple of days now and decided to register because I feel this is a friendly community with a lot of shared knowledge.

My first bake ever was at age 6; a simple white loaf with yeast. I have been baking on an off over the years. A year ago I took it up again and with varied results (but hey; practice makes perfect) Since I always wanted to do sourdough, I finally worked up the courage, and my starter is currently at day four. Very excited to see wether it will work :) Must admit it is a bit of a learningcurve though...
