i live in the New York area and am looking for hi protein Nordic rye, wheat, øland flours For our new Danish bakery. Can anyone recommend a wholesale company in the tri state area?
This is a conundrum. A lot of Scandivian specialty stores sell potato flakes and pancake mixes, but not much beyond this. If only IKEA sold this... I did find and buy Regal brand Norwegian whole wheat flour from Willy's Scandinavian Food Store, In Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Also, Scandinavian Butik in Norwalk, CT sells Amor brand Swedish Flour, though they had sold out when I last checked. I heard Claus Meuller is working with a few farmers in the Hudson Valley to grow danish grains, but I have yet to visit since he opened. I am eager to see if you find a supplier in NYC.
We are looking for large quantities for a Danish Concepts, I heard about WIlly's by way of google and know all about what Claus Meyer is doing but it looks like I may need to find a way to import through a supplier. I live near Norwalk so I will chack out the Scandi place you mentioned.
