Hi everyone,
I know that a lot of people have posted about buying bulk flour but a lot of it seems to be area-specific. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can buy 50# bags of King Arthur in the greater Boston area (~1 hour drive outside Boston) or have it shipped without being affiliated with a bakery/foodservice business.
Thanks!
If you want bulk king arthur flour, you should drive out to King Arthur in Norwich Vt. They sell 25lb and 50lb bags.
It takes me about 2 hours from Lowell. The best thing would be to take a class in the baking school and buy the flour while your there. You'll get 10% off.
Check the local food warehouses Sams Club, BJs and Costco. Some of them carry it.
While visiting my parents in MA this past October, Mrs PG and I treated them to a buying trip at the Nashua, NH Costco. At that time, they carried the KAF AP flour in 25# bags at what I thought was a very good price. You might also consider checking out your local Walmart to see if you can get KAF AP in 10# bags at case or bulk purchase prices. The 10# bag out here in Leavenworth, KS is just over $6 per bag.
My Costco in Vermont sells 25# bags for $12.89. Since I do not use enough flour to qualify for a commercial account with Sysco or Reinhart (local distributors) I purchase my flour from Costco.
King Arthur All Purpose is the same as commercial King Arthur Sir Galahad.
