All of a sudden I'm getting ad's continually in all discussions. Has anything changed?? I've checked my browser settings and a few other things… all is OK. I'm OK in other sites.
If you then use Adblock and can't get logged into TFL, Change the temporary settings to accept ads from 3rd party advertisers until you are logged in. Then change it back.
than just about anything else on the web. Whether this is Floyd's way of generating extra revenue or not, I will once more donate to his upkeep of the website.
If anyone else feels the there is great value to being a viewer, learner or participant on TFL, consider also doing the same. I don't want to one day wake up and find the URL no longer exists.
For the record, I probably wouldn't know Floyd if I bumped into him on the street. But he has given all of us a great and fertile environment. And like me, I'd bet that most of us have benefited significantly from TFL's existence.
I would prefer donating than adds. But even with adds I'd like to donate. I feel this is a much better way to funding stuff. You like it, you use it, so support it. :)
Just in case Floyd doesn't reply, here is what he told me last year. I don't know if this is still up to date:
"Thank you Alan. Not necessary, but if you'd like my PayPal address is floyd_mann@yahoo.com. Yes, I believe it does still say something about "Laughing Starfish", which was my wife's jewelry business."
This happens every once in a while and I'm sure right before the Holidays Floyd could use some extra cash just like the rest of us.
I'd prefer to donate, but if I was the site owner, I'd probably do it his way. Relying year after year on donors gets old.
Then you can use and Ad blocker extension like Adblock.

I do remember getting some during this time of year…. I just have not been logging in much since we moved from Baja to Florida.
All of your comments are spot on. And a 'Donate' button would be good….. I cannot diminish anything about this site or the 'Posters'. All is great!
no more ads anywhere on any site. But my hair did turn green on one side and purple on the other - an added benefit for sure:-)
