I acquired a newer production N-50 that had walked itself off a bench and failed a sudden deceleration test (aka "gravity check")
The back cover, housing assembly, end cover, and bearing bracket, starter switch, were smashed beyond repair.
Everything forward of the housing assembly was good, so I now have almost an entire mixer worth of spare parts.
So if anybody needs something, let me know, I'll hook a brother, or sister up for very reasonable costs.
What I'm keeping for myself are: Bowl Support & Upper Transmission Shaft.
The stator and field ring appear to have survived, but I can't test them.
Get in touch with the people at onesharpstore.com I was in a pickle some years back. They had all the parts I needed for a fix and were cheerful to deal with. Prices were quite reasonable, in addition.
Hi Sandsquid-Im not sure IF your back yet BUT Im in need of some Hobart N50 parts (end cover and drip cup so far until the mixer goes under the knife). Pls let me know if youre back and willing to spare me these parts. Thank in advance.
There is a Yahoo! group called "WACEM", for "We Actually Collect Electric Mixers". They are into mixer restoration there.
