I wonder... ...and what works best? Soft dough, stiff dough, one pass only?
If I rolled a lightly buttered pin in a single thin layer of poppy seed, could I transfer the pattern to crust?
If I rolled out a syrup like with ink printing, and rolled the pin in the tacky "ink," would baking brown the pattern transferred to the dough surface? ( syrup, egg yolk, condensed milk?)
but I can't choose a favorite!!! Sort of like getting a tattoo, except less commitment.
