The snappish landscape, rye rivers between ice

Winter is already gone but the snow still remains in some places and nothing better to remind the past cold weather like a hundred percent rye with soaked rye meal and heath honey. Happy saturday!

It tastes nutty, slightly sweet due to the honey and soaking, with a mild acidity and a long lasting flavor.

What if we lightly scored an "Earth" loaf without oceans and it breaks open during the bake to form something close to Earth as we now see it from Space?   (I would need to draw a Pangaeic pattern first.)

Sounds like one of those stories of Asimov! It could be something awesome in hands of a skilled baker, i´ll ned 30 year of baking to achieve something similar.

Might even be fun as an earthly challenge!

Scrolling back up to the loaf picture, can you see glimmering stars in the deep dark space beyond crust?  "To go Where no rye has gone before?"

Score before flipping into a floured lined banneton, turn out when nearly risen and watch the earth form in the oven heat.  It sounds soooo Genesis!  Can you imagine it?

30 yrs?  Pshaw!  You could do it!  :)

half as good at it looks you will be in heaven - way better than space, sifi,  rivers, snow and what not:-) Well done and Happy Baking
