KF SD Modified with Tillamok Sharp Cheddar and Toasted Pecans

This was my first addition experience.  I thought I would take a bit of risk and go for something savory.  I think this was so tasty!  I added 120g of toasted pecans and 105g of the Tillamok Sharp Cheddar.  I used 125G WW and 675g KA AP flour, 360g of my Levain.  The retard was 8 hours.

Well done all the way around.  Sone whole grains, Tillamook shaarp cheddar and pecans have to make for a great tasting bread.  Can't beat a great combination!

Happy baking

Love it!  What's better than a sharp cheese and pecans?  Not much if you ask me.

Great looking crust and crumb and must taste great.

Regards,
Ian

I felt like I was eating something special and I made it!  This is fun!  Between you and DA I may wind up with nuts, soakers, and even an algebraic formula to replicate it ;)

Warm regards,

Casey

Beautiful loaves, Casey!  They have the look of loaves where everything went just right, from crust to crumb to choice of add-ins.  Nice!

Marcus

They were a joy to see after I removed the lids from the cloche and Dutch oven.  Oh, the anticipation of bread is a wonderful thing.

Warm Regards,

yet another awesome bread. Cannot get my hand on pecan nuts but will try walnuts again, soon.

Oh, if I had walnuts I would have used them.  They turn a beautiful color when mixed.  I saw Reinert describe a walnut and blue cheese as his favorite combination.  I will watch for your post!

you are very welcome, it's my pleasure. And Blue cheese with Walnuts, you got me there. Too bad that blue cheese is something I won't be able to get over here... :(. I'll find something else, nice.

I am sure you will come up with something unique.  I am still slowly placing my toes in the water with adding ingredients.  Do share some of your unique finds that you have found successful.

Warm Regards,

Casey
