I just purchased a used A200 that was used for icing by a Tim Hortons franchise until they switched over to pre-mixed. Then It sat, only occasionally used for mixing cookies.
The machine is making a intermittent grinding sound when under load (mixing dough) Simular to http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/9769/anyone-familiar-hobart-20-qt-mixers
But all the speeds work on mine. I don't really want to pull the machine apart if it's not serious.
I had a problem with a similar, though quite a bit older, Hobart many months ago. I called onesharpstore.com for help. The offered it with pleasure. Give them a try. It'll cost you nothing to try. Their number's one their website.
I should've fired my editor. That last note should've read: "They offered it with pleasure...Their number's on their website."
I ended up pulling the mixer apart, cleaning out the grease from the transmission and rebuilding it.
After inspecting all the internals I couldn't see anything wrong. I'm starting to think maybe the mixer just needs to be used.

The above video really saved me a lot of frustration.
