Does an Altus make for a taller loaf of bread?

Does it give the loaf a better rise?  Would it help a 90% rye loaf?

 

is improved and some say the rise is better too and I think I agree with that too but I use a YW and SD combo starter and the rise is better anyway.  I make altus into larger sized bread crumbs in the mini chopper and then soak them in something like whey.
