Does anyone know of a source for large proofing baskets? I'm liking the 2- 2.5 Kilo (5.3 lbs) size but they are too large for the large ones I get from SFBI. I've looked around on the net and don't see anything yet.
I just discovered that the baskets I have are the small and medium models that SFBI offer. I had been looking at my 10 inch basket thinking it looked like 12. I only have about 20 measuring tapes and rulers around the house lol. So I have just called SFBI to order the 12 inch baskets.
all manner of baskets. Doun't worry about where they have been, just wash them and rinse them and let the dry. They are woven wet and then allowed to dry.
If you use linen inside the basket, Eric, perhaps this one I found at [url=http://www.etsy.com/listing/60847093/large-round-gathering-basket][u]Etsy[/u][/url] might do. It's large, but the handles might get in the way (until cut off).
On the other hand, you may find something that will work in the crafts department of your local stores.
