Are there any full length videos available?

Toast

Hi,

I am trying to find DVDs of bread baking hopefully artisan bread baking and can't find any.

Are there any DVDs exist?

Thanks, David

For the great info. I guess hamelman and peter reinhart don't have this kind of DVDs.

Hi

I've posted videos here, which are also available on You tube.

See: http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/16082/laminated-yeasted-dough-construction and http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/15953/crumpets-and-muffins and http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/15382/ananda039s-2nd-blog-hot-cross-buns and http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/15230/ananda039s-blog

Regarding Hamelman and Reinhart: I think they have contributed so much already; it seems a bit trite to ask for more.

Best wishes

Andy

Hi David,

Mine are fairly amateur, but I've used them to teach students in college quite successfully, and have had good feedback from users on here, and on YouTube.

The Ciril Hitz series really are excellent [the ones I've seen anyway].   He's a seriously good baking instructor on the level with Hamelman and Reinhart.

But if you want the real superstar, why not lokk here: none other than Professor Raymond Calvel himself!? http://www.ciaprochef.com/fbi/podcasts/BreadAndBaker.html

Best wishes

Andy

Hey David,
Of course my videos that mrfrost mentioned, I think are pretty good (wink, wink). The preview videos are fairly representative of the material in the DVDs so you can make your decision based on those.
I also own a couple from Hitz and Calvel and like them too.  Both of them (esp the Calvel videos) provide more background information than I do, as I try to focus on techniques more than the analytical aspect of bread baking.
