Would like to start feeding starter fresh milled hard white.... bran or not?

To give my mother starter more flavor profile, I like to start feeding my mother's starter freshly milled wheat. Most likely 50/50 KA all-purpose and fresh milled.  Should I shift out the bran or leave it in?

Which isn't to say that you should, too.

I feed mine a combination of whole wheat, whole rye, and bread flours.  Since I just eyeball the quantities, I've no idea what the relative percentages might be.  The starter seems happy, though.  And no, I don't sift anything out of the whole wheat or whole rye flours.

I feed my starter 100% stone milled rye. 10 gram stiff rye starter, 16 gram water and 20 gram rye. The combination varies seasonally.  Whole wheat would work also.
