Sourdough gone wild

After 2years of refreshing my rye sourdough starter the same way {equal parts by weight of starter, water, and flour} my sourdough starter went a bit wild. In 4 hours it outgrew its normal container, overflowed, and went everywhere...it multiplied by about 4x percent. Wow.

Any one know what  this means? I am wondering if  will be exhausted too much to rise? What would cause it to grow that much? The temperature was the same. Can't figure out what variable is different.
