Hello, I am interested in this. Please let me know if available. Thank you.
Hi! I’m interested if this is still available. I’ll also pay for shipping to 48640.
Julia: I have an N24 Electrolux I might be interested in parting with. Let me know if your interested. Jim
Hi Jim, thank you, I could be interested, can you provide some pictures and a price you’re considering?
Julia: I just realized the this mixer listing is for the Magic Mill N24 equivilent. The replacement timer dial it has confused me, and made me think it was newer than it is. Everything I said in my earlier e-mail is correct, but you probably already knew that. Jim
I’m still interested in what you have Jim, if youre willing to part with it.
Julia: Make me an offer. Jim
Do you have any pictures you can provide so I can determine where to start as an offer please?
Hi, Jim, is this still available? My Assistent just died and we are seeking a replacement?
My phone is 347-249-9627; please feel free to text.
Julia: As I think I've said before, I don't have a camera so I can't give you pictures.
There is an ebay listing, #156662636087 that looks very much like my machine. Mine has black knobs rather than the bright and white knob on the ebay machine. Mine has a white plastic whisk bowl that seems to be missing in the ebay machine. Otherwise they look to be identical. There is a crack in my plastic accessory drive cover, and some slight yellowing of the roller edges, and of the bowl scraper. The plastic "bezel" surrounding the accessory drive on the ebay machine is more discolored than mine. The discoloration of the roller and scraper probably wouldn't even show in a photo. There is also a tiny crack in the nylon whisk drive shaft. These are the only defects I can find. None of the defects effect operations. All in all, a really clean 20-25 year old machine.
Take a look at the ebay listing. I think it will show you everything you want to see. Jim
Is this still available? If so, I’d like to purchase it.
Yes. it's available. Like I told Julia, make me ano offer. Jim
Thanks. At 20-25 years old, given the shipping, etc., I think that I can pay $150 for this. I would be happy paying more, but I bought one for $200 a few months ago that was probably that age, and it turns out that the motor was bad. There was no way to know this in advance, but it has meant that I've essentially had to throw the machine away. The motor does spin, but it seems that one of the bearings inside is bad. Even opening up the machine couldn't reveal this (and I've had it open a lot).
Phlie - not to ruin a sale, but are you sure it is a bearing. It is possible it is just a motor mount https://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php?topic=4471.0 As a point of reference, I bought a used model that is just like the ebay photo - when they were sold in the US under the name Magic Mill, it came with the roller and scraper and the dough hook, but not the plastic bowl or whisks. The plastic bowl and whisks can be purchased from Pleasant Hill Grain. IMO , if it comes with the plastic bowl and whisks, $225 is a great price, it is a very heavy duty machine.
Thanks for this. I checked out that other thread, and opened up my machine again. I must have a different model, because my motor is held in with a different mount that is sturdier. I actually think the problem is on the other side, where the attachments hook in. I don’t think it is quite centered in the hole, and so the plastic is rubbing and that’s what’s making the noise. Maybe I’ll play with it some more. Anyway, when the control panel died, I rewired it, and I ordered a reostat that will allow me to control the speed. So I more or less have a functioning mixer right now, though the noise is troublesome.
If I understand you correctly, you’re selling yours for $225. The shipping is expensive, so I probably can’t go that high. And, once again, mine is sort of working (I made cookies today). But let me think a bit about all this.
Regards,
Phil
I had an N24 a few years ago and it had a bad bearing. It was a plain phosphor bronze bearing with a spherical exterior in a matching bearing housing to give it some degree of movement, so not an off the shelf part.
By an amazing stroke of luck, I had a scrap Flymo lawnmower (also made by Electrolux) and it had a very similar motor and I was able to swap over the bearing assembly and get up and running again.

Hey, Lance,
Wow…! I don’t think I’ll be so lucky, but I would very much like to switch it out if I can. However, for the moment, it works, but it is just a little noisy. When the control panel blew, I rewired it so that I just plugged it in directly to the wall. I ordered a reostat so that I can control the speed. So, for the moment, I have an Assistent. So I’m not in a rush. When the right one comes, I will buy another one.
Phil, just to be clear, I am not selling mine, just saying I think that is a great price if it is the model I think it is and it includes the plastic bowl and whisks.
Hey, Barry--thanks, I figured that out. HOWEVER, I don't see the one that is $225 with the plastic bowl and whisks. My offer of $150 to Jim for his was rejected. My own Assistent is noisy, but with the reostat, I should be able to control the speed, so I'll just wait till I see a newer one come on the market, even if it costs a bit more. I am loath to pay over $200 for something that is >30 years old and--like the one I bought--could just die...
Phil: Your offer of $150 is declined. Jim
