TAKEN THANKS... Hobart N50, free--plus shipping-- to good home (almost works)

Toast

IT FOUND A HOME....

When my Hobart seized up (motor runs, blade doesn't turn, then it trips the breaker) I decided to open it up, clean out the grease, regrease and re-assemble.

This board had everything I needed--and when I got stuck, two of you quickly helped with photos.

Well, I've re-assembled, and was very proud of myself.

But it still has the same problem.

I promised myself one go at it, and I failed.

Instead of hassling with someone on eBay for a few hundred bucks, I thought I'd pay it forward and offer it here for anyone who wants to pay for shipping. I can use your Fedex ground account or guess at $50. I'm in the US and I'm loathe to deal with overseas shipping.

Been a home baker a long time, I'm easy to google.

Thanks again to everyone for creating this community.

Hi,

I've been looking for one of these for a long time and I have the ability to fix just about anything.

New or used, this machine is so utterly ridiculously expensive!!!!! I've seen the price of it as high as a whopping $3,000 new!! Ebay sells it new & used. For a used one, it cost close to $2,000!!! I was trying to get one used, but even then, it's still ridiculously priced!! I gave up & got a used Globe SP08 for about $450. it works as good as new.

Hi Seth,

I'd love to give it a try fixing it, I do a lot of baking at home [bagels -- see the name :) ] and could use a workhorse like this! I've somehow gone through a couple more modern kitchenaids.  If you still have it, please let me know! hiller craig @ gmail

Thank you!
