German baker in West Berlin suburb before the unification

Does anyone know of a baker in a West Berlin suburb who baked amazing sourdough rye?  He only sold two things: the rye bread and something like a cherry crumble.  He had transformed his house into a small bakery. People waited in line to get his bread.
