This is a question that I could not find answered on the internet. I did a little research and basically dried yeast is as it says”dried” so it’s properties are the same as fresh yeast but without any moisture. I combined fresh yeast with dried yeast as I was short of fresh yeast and made some hot cross buns with the results being as good as if I had only used one type of yeast. So yes you can combine the two together.
