What's a Spluffin?

Profile picture for user Mini Oven

just heard about these on tonight's news

From the unilingual English point of view, simply the relief of not having to pronounce (or spell) Splitterbrötchen, or to embarrass oneself by having to resort to gesticulating wildly in the general direction of Berlin, might be enough to attract a number of customers. ?

From that description, maybe a more suitable name could be Splimutterfbfrötchinens. But I'm afraid no one would get how the mixed and split-up words mirror the mixed and split-up food. ?

the name, not make it longer.  I have no trouble pronouncing spluffins.

Although at first,  I was not thinking of bake goods rather of rocky island birds and a mammal "...faster than lightning, no-one you see, is smarter than he?"

Never heard of it before.  So far, we have cruffins & cronuts over here. Going to check out the youtube link that you posted. Thank you :)
