it may be that your adblocker is "whitelisting" certain acceptable ads. i grew so tired of seeing taboola and other crap ads on dozens of sites that I started looking into my settings the other day. I discovered that my ABP plugin was allowing "non-intrusive" ads. i don't see anything like that here now.
some ads may be non-intrusive, but i still don't want to click here to see what those childhood actors look like now.
