I have been actually been following this site for many years and its amazing !!! , so much information , tips , advice and a general wonderful community feeling and spirit , one gentleman who I think deserves a huge mention is a Mr. DM Snyder , read his posts , watch the videos and I guess just buy the t-shirt , this wonderful man has helped I guess many many new baking enthuiasts and bakers , so on this note I tip my hat to all of you for making contributing to such a wonderful site !!!
God bless
Graham
Thanks Chef.
I too feel there is a wealth of information here, much of it through experimentation, success, and a lot of failure. It dovetails into my style of learning.

Exactly Jim , " a master has failed more times than a beginner has even tried " !!!
thanks for the inclusion. I've my small corner of accomplishments in the bread universe, but should not be mistaken for the other folks here who have a world more experience and breadth of knowledge than I have.
BTW I'm taking the summer off, hence my ghostly appearance on TFL. Just checking in on occasion.
sorry to disappoint but I am not a professional baker , I am a Executive Masterchef ( specialising in patisserie ) with over 30 years experience in various worldwide locations , since 2002 I am the owner of Austin's ( Pasteleria fina & Alta reposteria ) in Mexico :

Maybe I am old school but I do tend to make a difference between Chef and Baker , sure we are under the same umbrella but we are different and have different skills which set us apart .

Wow!
I just had a visit to your website and am very impressed. And yes, two very different schools of practice.
If I were living anywhere near your establishment I don't think I could resist regular visits. Good for me that you are thousands of miles away!
well Thankyou so much for your lovely comments Jim !!!
