So I had a bash this morning. As a result my wife and I have been chomping our way through two 'challenge' loaves for late breakfast! The results were too yummy and we have eaten too much!
I also made some cultured butter to go with the bread and my wife's Alsatian Reisling/Apricot jam that she made a couple of days ago.
Washed down with coffee from our trusty Moka Pot and topped with 'whizzed up' milk from our 99p Ikea whizzer.
All in all a lovely home baked, home made, home brewed breakfast................ just need to sleep it off for the rest of the day!
(here is a close up of the white/spelt loaf topped with the butter and jam .......... hmmm, lovely)
So sorry to put you through all that. :) Isn't it wonderful, having a meal of delicious things that are largely the result of your own efforts? It's like some warm fresh bread served with a big bowl of soup chock-full of home grown veggies and homemade stock. So tasty and so much more satisfying all 'round than store-bought stuff!
The jam sounds as good as the bread. I have a bunch of nectarine ginger jam that I made last week that has been slathered on a variety of breads over the last few days too.
Looks amazing!
