Making some peels. Recently had a struggle getting multiple thin loaves into a WFO. So we are attempting skinny peels. Any suggestions on dimensions? First attempts will have paddles that are about 5-6"X12-14".
These are some peels we made awhile ago.
have loading surfaces of 18" x 36" and 10" x 30", with 6" handles. I line up 5 baguettes across the wide one, or a grid of 6 or 9 oval loaves.
Square ends are better for loading bread, IMO.
I really like a square ends too. Rounding always seems to leave parts of loafs ready to fall off.
These are really beautiful though. Are you going to sell online?
