I've been offline camping for the past few days so I've not seen it, but if I spot it and figure out where it is coming from, I will block it. I just checked the site's advertising settings and everywhere I can find I've said I do not want to allow "high impact" ads that cover or block content like that one sounds like it does.
Not so nice and certainly won't entice me to purchase...

there is a little pop up in the lower left had corner of the screen that says the site is waiting for Yahoo

No pop ups here...as others mentioned..running firefox with adblock plus addon.
Should have mentioned earlier that I'm running Chrome with Adblock Plus. I have it on my backup Firefox browser, too.
