So I was at the market the other day and saw a hollowed out wooden oblong bowl and I said to myself, I can proof bread in that! So I did. The big Loaf is 1000grams.

a small dugout canoe, or doughin canoe in this case.  Lucy just loves found objects that can be used for bread making.  Makes it more personal, memorable and fun for her but..... she can go over the top without much prodding!  You are getting pretty close too but your bread is fantastic none the less. Well done Wing!  Love your miniature canoe.

What I like about the "canoe" is I can proof in it and serve bread in it later. I can also crush nuts or seeds with it.

Wingnut - that loaf can feed a neighborhood!  Nicely done. I bet it would keep for a week.

Thanks SJ, it will be going to my sainted Wife's work tommorow to feed her workmates.

Beautiful loaves! Nice crumb and beautiful scorings.

I like your new wooden bowl. Do you have any trouble of turning the dough out after final proof?

No Chef, I use a combination of Rice Flour and AP Flour and I make sure the proofing baskets and the dough that is in contact with the proofing basket surface are will coated.

Lovely breads, as ever WN!

Funny how we homebakers are so attuned to bread, we never fail to notice potential gadgets when we do our shopping.
