Greetings to all, apparently I registered several months ago when I was looking for Challah Bread info and never got around to saying Hi...
I am now attempting some sourdoughs. Any words of wisdom you can throw my way would be appreciated. Currently I "appear" to have a nice starter developed... it was initially a pancake batter consistency, did a feeding and it became quite active within an hour or so. I am assuming at this point I can take some of it and make bread?
There are a few folks from SC here on TFL. I'm in Columbia. Good luck with your starter. I'm a yeast girl so admire your adventurism. I've learned a lot from the folks here. There are all sorts of levels of expertise and everyone is so good about sharing their knowledge.
