Hello there!
I'm not completely new to bread making, but I've just bought a Kenwood Chef and hope to use it to get me back into baking all my own bread. I tried my first Kenwood-kneaded loaf yesterday and it was a disaster :( So I searched for a bread forum, and this is the one that came up. I hope to find out what I did wrong!
Hi, breadpiglet! Welcome on board. :)
I think we need more detailed description about 'how' disastrous it was with the recipe/method you used to make the bread in question to give you any sort of advice. If you have photos of the loaf, that'd be even better.
btw, as another UK TFLer, would you be interested in joining us in this? (link)
best wishes,
lumos
Hello there, lumos :)
Many thanks for welcoming me. I've posted a detailed (exhaustively so...) description of the Bad Bread Incident in the General section. I didn't realise I could post a photo, but I'll try to work out how to do so.
The UK get-together sounds great! I'm certainly interested in attending, but I'm up in Lancs and have a small dog (who would need a sitter) and so may not be able to do so. I'll keep an eye on the thread, though.
It's good to know that there are other UK peepses here, as hopefully some of us are using the same UK-specific ingredients and equipment.
Sorry, I didn't realize you posted it already in another section of the forum. I'll have a look later to see if there's anything I can help you. But I'm pretty sure you'll get a lot of helpful advices from many other veterans on that post before too long, both from UK and beyond. ;)
Meanwhile, please check your PM inbox. ;)
There are quite a lot of UK-based bakers, so you are definitely not alone!
Thanks, Salilah :)
Welcome! - I am from the UK and here to learn. Although I've been around the site for a few weeks, I have not posted comments or anything until the last few days. But already I feel that I have gained. Even to the extent of knowing what questions to ask.
