Hi everyone,
thought I should take the plunge after watching for so long. I've been bread baking for about 10 months now, a mixture of yeast and sourdough breads. I like trying different things but always seem to end up baking Challahs a couple of times a month as the kids love them! I look forward to contributing to this excellent forum and learning even more from all of you!
All the Best
Tony
Hi Tony,
Welcome to TFL,
as you can probably see, there is a good degree of British activity on the forum here at TFL. Glad to have you along
Best wishes
Andy
Hello Tony
Welcome to TFL. Along with Andy I am one of a number of TFLers based in the UK.. I make mainly naturally leavened (sourdough) bread but also use commercial yeast from time to time. Look out for others from the UK such as lumos, Daisy_A, Bertie26, FoodFascist and a host of others. There is even a proposed "get together" in the UK and we held a 2 day course for UK TFLers in Newcastle in July (taught by Andy). If you have questions try the search box top the top left of the page and it you can't find an answer just ask away, it is a very friendly place.
Best Wishes
Richard
Richard,
thank you for the warm welcome and Lumos's email about the "get together " was the reason I signed up.
I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone on here a little better and bake better bread as a result.
Tony
