How water pressure affects steam injection

Hello!  I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong forum.  Is it true that water pressure will have an affect on the amount of steam in a deck oven?  Should I reduce the amount of steam I'm putting in the ovens after loading and/or vent the decks earlier if I know the pressure is almost double what it should be?  The part we need to correct the problem is hopefully on order...
